This month's topic - the PSA blood test. For most physicians it is both a blessing in that it helps us identify men at risk for prostate cancer, and a “curse” in that the test is neither specific enough nor sensitive enough to be labeled a “true” Prostate Cancer test. I hope this helps clear up some of your misunderstandings and answers your questions on this available and easy to perform test.
